FORMER workers at Meldon Quarry and those with memories of the facility are being invited to a special coffee morning next week to share their recollections with the Okehampton Community Archive.

The event at All Saints Church Hall on Market Street on Saturday, January 19 is a special event in response to the success of the archive's Meldon Quarry evening held last October.

The group is hoping to attract people who worked at the quarry. There will be a display of photographs, and organisers welcome any further photographs, memorabilia and stories of the quarry when it was working.

The event caps off a busy week for the OCA, as it will also hold a general coffee morning on Saturday, January 12, providing information about the group's work.
