A CHILDREN'S disco was held at the Kings Arms in South Zeal on Saturday to support two ladies from the village preparing to take on the challenge of the London Marathon.

Debbie Bryant and Lorraine Guscott have been hard at work training to complete the 26.2-mile route around the capital on April 26. Debbie is supporting Children with Cancer and Lorraine is fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

They have been hard at work already raising money and the disco was the latest event to raise funds. In the evening the pub hosted an auction of promises and an adult disco.
