A DRINK drive campaign took place to highlight the dangers of driving the morning after drinking.
The campaign was held in Waitrose car park on Friday December 12 where the public were welcome to be breathalised, after using an alcohol contained mouthwash.
A car wreck was also on display to show people the aftermath of a car crash due to drink driving.
The Christmas period is a time for drivers to be even more aware of their alcohol intake, said PC Wilson, of Okehampton Police: 'People need to be aware of drinking the night before and then driving the following morning.'
A recent survey of the Chagford area has resulted in one arrest for drink driving in the morning.
'You wouldn't get in your car after drinking a bottle of wine a few hours later. There's no difference when people go to bed at 4am and get in their cars a few hours later,' said PC Wilson.
