Okehampton were hoping to build on their unbeaten start by getting a result against a mid-table hockey Dawlish side.

The game started well for the away side who managed to gain early possesion of the ball and create a few half chances.

Dominating the play it was just a matter of time before the league leaders were infront, Mark Parsons shot from a short corner finding its way through the goalkeeper.

The onslaught continued with the Dawlish goalkeeper being forced into three or four saves before Parsons got his second, a carbon copy of the first. The third came straight when Josh Speak drove into the area and his pass was lifted passed the keeper by Parsons for his hat-trick.

Luke Miller and Chris Luxton had good chances before Josh Speak got a fourth two minutes before half-time.

Oke knew Dawlish would come out in the second half and try to take the game, but it was the visitors themselves who got their fifth when Luxton converted.

Okehampton started to relax a bit, and the home side created a couple of chances, Luxton made a stunning last ditch tackle and Andy Harvey had to make a couple of good saves.

Okehampton kept their cool throughout, and went onto score their seventh, with Speak getting his second. Man of the match was Simon Bourne.

This was another fantastic win for Okehampton, who keep their 100% record, and continuing to look good in their new league.
