A SMELLY fundraiser has raised a magnificent £700 for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Okehampton Young Farmers' Club spent two evenings in February bagging up 400 bags of dung, and delivering to local people to use as fertiliser. The outstanding efforts of the club means they have raised nearly double the amount raised by their previous dung run.

The club's next big fundraiser is a slave auction in the Okehampton Conservative Club on May 25.

Becky Howe, the club secretary, expressed her thanks to everyone involved with the dung run fundraiser.
