THE Easter Golden Bunny Trail around Okehampton's town centre has been hailed a success. A number of the town's shops and businesses had golden bunnies on display in their windows and children were challenged to enter a competition to find them all. The competition had a good number of entries and the town mayor Cllr the Rev Mike Davies, fresh from his six hour charity cycle challenge in Red Lion Yard, drew the winners — the Smith family from Okehampton. Lisa Smith and her two children Sophie and Jacob collected their prize of a giant Lindt chocolate rabbit from Donna Tombs, the chair of the Chamber of Trade. Donna said: 'The Chamber of Trade would like to thank all those who took part. 'It certainly seems to have been well received by everyone and we definitely plan to run it again next year. 'We would also like to thank Cllr Christine Marsh for organising it in conjunction with Okehampton Primary School, and to Waitrose for donating the golden chocolate bunny. 'As one of the participating shops, we at Rockin' Beads really enjoyed hosting one of the clues and having so many determined families in, completing their quizzes.'
