OKEHAMPTON and District Twinning Association's Christmas draw raised £300. The committee expressed thanks to everyone who took part.

The next fundraising event will be an Egyptian Evening on Saturday, March 27 at 7.30pm in Belstone Village Hall, where there will be an Egyptian meal and entertainment.

The association is supported by a broad range of people from a wide radius around Okehampton and surrounding villages, who regularly take part in visits, hosting and fundraising activities.

They include an increasing number of families with teenagers and young children, as well as many couples and single people of all ages.

The twinners always welcome new members and are looking for more people to act as hosts when friends from Craon come over at the August bank holiday weekend.
