THE 36th Sourton Open Produce Show takes place on August 16.

The show will be opened by county and borough councillor Christine Marsh.

Cllr Marsh is also the chairperson for the EX20 lottery, which gave the produce show monies for a banner to be displayed on the village green.

The event at the parish hall is open to everyone who would like to enter the crafts, cookery, wine, vegetables, flowers and other classes.

There will be refreshments and a raffle. Entrance is 50p with children free.

l Cream teas will be the order of the day in the parish hall on Sunday from 1am to 6pm.

They will also be served on every Sunday in August and the bank holiday Monday.

The teas are in aid of Sourton Parish Church. There are also light lunches and cold drinks.
