Wartime letters inspire Okehampton writer's novelThe event, which was blessed with beautiful sunshine, saw the start of the three-mile Cosdon Hill Fell Run organised by Okehampton Running Club.
Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band played while fairgoers enjoyed pony rides, dog races, children's games, a coconut shy and egg throwing, skittles and tombola.
There were plenty of stalls, a barbecue, Pimms tent and tea and cakes.
