IT'S that time of year again when ten acres of beautiful greenland is transformed to set the scene for one of Devon's most popular festivals — Chagstock.

This year the ever-growing festival will be even better with more toilets, kids cookery workshops and a Punch and Judy Show.

The festival will continue to entertain visitors from around the country, when it returns to Whiddon Down from Friday, July 16 to Saturday, July 17.

Organiser of Chagstock, Si Ford, said the festival was growing year on year.

He said: 'It's getting very close now and we are all very excited about it.

'Numbers are up on previous years and there is a great line up.

'The forecast is looking very good, so I would encourage people to get their tickets before coming up on site.

'There will be even more going on, including two beer tents, drum workshops and a chill out tent, as well as all the music.

'We are a not for profit organisation and so money raised goes towards supporting Devon Air Ambulance and WaterAid — who will be onsite.

'I'm really looking forward to this year, as always, and everyone is very welcome.'

This year's event will offer a blend of music to suit a wide range of tastes. The headline acts include the Hoosiers and Seth Lakeman, who will perform on the main stage, as well as Oysterband and Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds on the acoustic stage.
