THE annual Okehampton Rotary Club Christmas dinners have proven a great success once again.
320 guests enjoyed a Christmas lunch over three days at the Ashbury Hotel.
The lunches have been part of the festive calendar since they first started 30 years ago at the Manor House Hotel.
As well as great food, guests got to enjoy performances by Okehampton Primary School choir.
Rob Harman from?Okehampton Rotary said: ‘What makes these lunches so special is that everyone involved, the senior citizens, school choir, Ashbury staff and Rotarians all thoroughly enjoy themselves.
‘Due to the generosity of Joan and Simon?Essex and their team at Ashbury and the transport support from Alan Balsden at BVS, our charity fund has benefited to the tune of nearly £4,000 over the three days. We will make sure these funds are put to very good use locally.’
