A LIVELY market of crafts and wares has raised £208.70 for the Museum of Dartmoor Life.
Museum trustee Edna Hicks has organised three bazaars in the Charter Hall for the coming months. The first took place last Saturday. There were numerous stalls, including vintage clothing, jewellery, nearly new bric-a-brac, face painting and refreshments by Okehampton Lions.
The money raised from a raffle and donations will be given to the museum. The bazaars have been organised not only to raise money for the museum, but to try and raise its profile in the community.
Edna said: 'We are very happy with the money, but there was also a great attendance, and a great atmosphere. Hopefully, people will turn out again for the next bazaar.'
The next bazaars in the Charter Hall are on Saturday, July 27 and Saturday, August 24.
