THE community of Sticklepath was once again brought together by their annual village day on Saturday, August 18.
The day's events kicked off with Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band marching onto the playing field followed by the village's youngsters all in fancy dress costumes.
Visitors got to enjoy ferret racing, a performance by Cogs and Wheels Morris, the tug of war contests, games and much more.
The fun day was accompanied by a flower and produce show in the village hall, which attracted a range of high quality entries of plants and vegetables.
The event raised over £1,000 which will be used for the development of Stickepath's playing fields.
Organiser Emma Bell expressed her thanks to Taw River Inn, Whitehouse Services, Waitrose, Endacotts, Okeford Veterinary Centre and Sticklepath Stores, who all supported the day with food and other contributions.
