CANCER charity FORCE, which launched a programme of outreach support in West Devon earlier this summer, will be offering its services at the Okehampton Show on August 14. A team of experts will be on hand to give help, advice and information to anyone affected by cancer. FORCE head of fundraising Sarah Daniels said: 'Being at the Okehampton Show gives us the chance to meet so many people and make them aware of all the things we can do to support anyone right here in this part of Devon who is touched by cancer. 'It's also lovely to catch up with people who have benefitted from our services and hear about what they are up to now.' FORCE – Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre Exeter — has been supporting cancer patients for nearly 30 years. The charity has operated from its support centre in the grounds of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital since 2004. Developing a programme of outreach services has been one of FORCE's key strategic objectives and in June, the second of three weekly clinics planned for Devon was opened at Castle Ham Lodge In Okehampton. A team of specialists offers support and counselling plus complementary therapies by appointment as well as information and advice every Wednesday between 10am and 4pm.
