I TOTALLY disagree with West Devon Homes' reply to Mr Holloway's write up last week.
For tenants to sit and listen to neighbours going to the toilet is not everyday noise — it's time West Devon Homes woke up and actually listened to tenants and actually help.
Their excuses are lame!
I agree fully with Mr Holloway, West Devon Homes should hang their heads in shame.
It's all very well coming out with 'feeble excuses' but would West Devon Homes' staff or environmental health officers like to sit and eat a meal whilst listening to a neighbour on the toilet?
I rather think not, and neither should tenants at Mill Road either, whether the flats were built to specification.
Environmental health have stated tenants are always going to suffer due to poor sound proofing, well guess what people, it's 2013 and tenants should no way be expected to sit and listen to a neighbour going to the toilet.
It's time to wake up, forget the petty excuses, either deal with the problems tenants have properly or knock the flats down!
