TO celebrate National Bookstart Week, Adult Community Learning is inviting families to attend a fun craft activity at Okehampton Library this weekend.

Families can make a tiara fit for a princess or a brave knight's shield at the 'Knights, Princesses and Dragons' craft activity on Saturday, June 29. Bookstart offers the gift of free books to all children at two key ages before they start school, to inspire a love of reading and to help youngsters get off to the best possible start in life.

The free event, which also offers the chance to win a bundle of books, runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
