THE latest production by the Courtenay Players promises a light-hearted night of fun for those in the audience.
The group is putting on performances of 'Fame and Fortune' on May 22, May 23 and May 24 in the Charter Hall. Each evening will consist of two plays — a one-act play by the junior section entitled The Sob Factor, and a two-act play by the adult section called Charity Begins.
The Sob Factor, directed by John Davey, will see a fun satire of The X Factor, with girl bands and acts trying out to get on the road to fame.
Charity Begins, directed by Stan Stormont, will see a building firm try to get their hands on a charity shop premises.
Tickets cost £7 for adults and £4 for children, and are available from the Fairplace Church shop in the Arcade. The plays start at 7.30pm each evening.
