AN Okehampton sports institution celebrates its centenary in 2013, and is beginning preparations for the milestone event early.

Staff at Okehampton Golf Club are already thinking of ways to commemorate the centenary by planning a week of festivities and events. They are looking to create a handbook with old photographs of the club throughout its history and display memorabilia, artefacts and items of interest in the clubhouse.

The club are looking for anyone with any photographs or items of interest to contact them about using them in the lead-up to their centennial celebrations.
