EVERYONE in the town is invited to Okehampton Town Council's annual town assembly meeting to share their views on how the town is being run.

Last year's event took a different format than before, with presentations on Okehampton's past, present and future, followed by a question and answer session.

The success of the event has led the council to use a similar format this year.

There will be a presentation about the town's current situations and plans for the future, and how the community can become more involved with decision making.

The discussion will touch on the town's economic regeneration and how this can be achieved.

Councillors from each of the council's parks, planning, property and policy and resources committees will be on hand to discuss any questions people may have.

Representatives from Devon County and West Devon Borough councils have also been invited to answer any queries from the public.

The assembly meeting takes place at the Charter Hall on Monday March 26 at 7pm. There will be free refreshments. All are welcome.
