MARGARET and Derek Woolacott celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in style, with 100 guests at the Conservative Club in Okehampton and raised more than £600 for charity.

The couple married on September 14 1963 and celebrated their golden wedding with friends and family. The party was the first time their eight godchildren were all in the same room.

During the celebrations, the couple managed to raise £630 to be shared between the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and the British Heart Foundation.

The couple expressed thanks to everyone who attended, and to Jill Collins, a friend of the family, who made their celebratory cake,
