ON Saturday in beautiful warm, sunny conditions Okehampton Golf Club held their October Medal with participants competing for the Stanley Bridges Salver.

The winner of division one and the Stanley Bridges Salver was Keith Harkness with a gross 70, nett 63. In second place was Mike Hern with a gross 76, nett 64 and Kevin Cornwall was third with a gross 71, nett 66.

Division two winner was Mark Quick with a gross 79,nett 60, in second place was Rob Camies with a gross 80, nett 64 and Sam Woolacott was third with a gross 85, nett 66.

The top places in division three all came in with scores of nett 66. The winner after count-back was Del Nash with a gross 86, nett 66, from club captain Mike Hutchinson in second place with a gross 91, nett 66 and Gerry Carpanini was third with a gross 87 nett 66.

The ladies at Okehampton Golf Club competed for the Jarman Cup.

The winners of the competition with a terrific 47 points were Joe Lindsey and Sylvie Gowers.

The winners of the cup were Michelle Abel and Abby Turner.
