YOUNGSTERS were involved in a Graphic Art workshop as part of the inaugural Art Okehampton 13 Festival that took place last week.
Organised by the Art Okehampton Festival Group, the festival ran from Wednesday, August 7 to Saturday, August 10. It showcased the work of many artists and aspiring artists from the West Devon area.
Several hundred works were displayed across the Charter Hall, the Ockment Centre hall, the John Young Gallery in the Museum of Dartmoor Life and the new sports pavilion in Simmons Park.
The aim of Art Okehampton 13 was to support and promote the visual arts community, as well as inspire and encourage new artists to pursue creative expression.

During the festival there were several free workshops to encourage people to explore their artistic and creative side. People of all ages and abilities were invited to participate in these free events.
Paul Vachon, one of the organisers, said: 'The whole event has gone really very well indeed, with a wonderful launch on Wednesday and busy exhibitions throughout the week.
'We averaged around 50 visitors per day to each exhibition, so footfall was really good. The committee are meeting again next month to discuss holding another festival next year, and making it bigger and better than this time around.'
Support, funding and encouragement has come from Okehampton United Charity, Okehampton Town Council, West Devon Borough Council and Devon County Council.
