A GRAND ball to raise money for North Tawton Pre-School and Busy Bees was held last month at the town's rugby club.

More than 100 revellers attended the event, making it a huge success — helping to raise around £2,500.

The amount raised will kick start a fund to build a brand new, purpose designed pre-school for the education and development of local children.

During the evening, party goers were treated to an acoustic set from a local band, a charity auction and a disco, which kept everyone dancing until midnight, as well as a complimentary drinks reception, a hog roast and dessert buffet.

The pre-school fundraising committee, assisted by the general committee and pre-school staff, worked hard to ensure the grand ball was a success and expressed thanks to everyone who donated goods, services, equipment and auction lots.
