ALL of us involved in the work of Okehampton Foodbank would like to say a huge thank you to the former employees of Polestar Food Factory for their very generous gift of £1,864.85 given to us via the Riverside Social Club.  

In the early part of last year, when your employment came to an end, we were delighted to be able to help so many of you, and you ceased to be mere recipients and became friends, as we met together Friday after Friday, and we were able, not only to provide food parcels, but also to give you somewhere to meet and socialise with those you had worked with for many years.  

The months of February, March, and April were a crazy time for many of you, but also for us as we sought to adapt and change from giving one or two parcels a week, to providing 40 parcels per week, when things were at their most hectic.
