the Okehampton British Heart Foundation shop held a waxing event to help promote the charity's latest campaign.
It saw volunteers hand out bags for customers to fill with good quality items to donate back to the shop.
In return for customers' support one brave man even had his back waxed to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Dee Drew, manager at the British Heart Foundation, said: 'We at the British Heart Foundation have been overwhelmed by the support of our customers;.
'We have had so many positive comments that it really does make all our hard work worthwhile.
'We have had so much support and donations enabling us to go from strength to strength and this is in only our first six months.'
The shop rotates stock on a daily basis and puts a minimum of 250 new items out each day.
'We have a very high standard with our sorting selection which I hope is apparent on the shop floor.
'Of course, this would not be possible if it wasn't for our devoted team of volunteers who work so hard and give us their free time to make it such a success — on mine and Lisa's, the assistant manager's behalf, I would like to say a big thank you to them for all that they do for us.
'If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please phone or call into the shop.'
