FOOTBALL mad youngsters can take part in Exeter City's Football in the Community events in Okehampton and Hatherleigh during the autumn half term.

Simmons Park in Okehampton plays host to the courses over two days on Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31, while there is a one-day course at Hatherleigh Town FC on Friday, November 1. A two-day course costs £27, or £15 for one day.

'It's really important to keep kids active during half terms and holidays during the autumn and winter months,' said Scott Walker, sports development officer.

'The temptation to stay inside, especially if it's grey outside, can be overwhelming, but getting out and doing some sport and having fun really lifts the spirits and helps to keep them healthy.'

The events are suitable for boys and girls aged from five to 14. The main focus is fun and participation through team and individual games.

All courses are delivered by Exeter City's FA-qualified coaching staff.
