THE Charter Hall in?Okehampton will turn into a vibrant hub of crafts and wares this month to support the Museum of Dartmoor Life.

Edna Hicks, a trustee of the museum, has organised three bazaars in the hall to take place in the coming months. Money raised from a raffle and donations will be given to the museum.

The bazaars are not only to provide money for the museum, but to try and raise its profile in the community. The museum is planning to have a stall at each of the markets promoting its work, and may bring over some artefacts to show people.

If successful, the bazaars could become a monthly venture. At the first bazaar, there will be numerous stalls, including vintage clothing, jewellery, nearly new bric-a-brac, face painting and refreshments by Okehampton Lions.

The craft fairs take place in the Charter Hall on Saturday, June 22, Saturday, July 27 and Saturday, August 24.
