WI?members from Sourton celebrated the institute's 80th birthday on Tuesday with a lunch at the Crossways Inn, Folly Gate.

President Geraldine Jury welcomed the WI ladies and Carole Maytum and Vikki Hunt — Mrs Maytum is the county advisor and Mrs Hunt is training as an advisor.

After lunch the ladies exchanged gifts then cut the birthday cake that had been made and decorated by Geraldine Jury.

The celebration also saw a new member welcomed — the first in 2012.

The president thanked everyone for making it such an enjoyable day and special thanks went to the staff of the Crossways Inn.
