AFTER a good win last week in a friendly against Exeter Hornets Okehampton A were looking for a league game win against East Devon on Sunday.

The game started at a quick pace which was kept up throughout the whole match.

The home side, though, caught out their East Devon visitors on the break with an excellent goal from stricker Josh Balsdon.

The visitors then came back hard with constant pressure on Okehampton which was well dealt with by defenders Reiner Rademaker, Ian Miller, Luke Liversage and Nick Luxton until a strong tackle in the D resulted in a penalty flick which East Devon converted.

The second half saw the same end to end game which saw all Okehampton players working hard in both attack and defence this was rewarded when Josh made it 2-1. Alex Emuss, Jake Lloyd and Adam Cockayne played some excellent hockey for Oke along with Dan Rademaker, Stuart Jarvis and Ed Howard; there some excellent saves from keeper Haden Bond who kept Okehampton in the lead until the pressure told and a foot in the D resulted in a short corner which East Devon converted to make the score 2-2.
