THE HARVEST Festival season is now here and Fairplace Church leads the way in Okehampton with a special weekend. Starting on Saturday (September 12) the church will be open from 10am to 3.30pm for everyone to view the decorations and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. On Sunday (September 14) at 10.30am and 6.30pm the services will be led by special visitor the Rev Dr Gordon Gatward from Kenilworth in Warwickshire. The 6.30pm service will be a Songs of Praise for harvest with seasonal hymns, music and readings. Finally on Monday (September 15) at 6.15pm there is a harvest supper, sing-a-long and sale of produce. Tickets for the meal, priced at £6, are available from the church shop in The Arcade.
