HATHERLEIGH Carnival need to complete its official line up with a prince and princess for this year’s carnival. 

The winning couple will be announced at the family entertainment night on Friday June 16.

Carnival chairman Mark Reddaway said he has wanted to do this for a long time and it has finally been organised, called ‘Hatherleigh Does Haven’. The aim of the evening is to transport guests to a holiday park clubhouse — though with it being in Hatherleigh Community Centre it may take some imagination.

The evening will start at 7pm with the Little Sparks disco, kindly provided by Roy and Ian King.

It will be followed by party dances and plenty of other entertainment.

The carnival committee will also be introducing this year’s carnival president, prince and princess at 9pm.
