I HEARD with interest this week that Ten Tors teams will now not have to cross rivers on the moor except at six designated points.  This apparently will address safety concerns in poor weather.  Routes will be overhauled to allow this to happen.  In this age of 'health and safety' are the organisers moving towards a 'virtual' Ten Tors whereby groups of walkers will arrive at Okehampton Camp and conduct the whole expedition under cover and by 'Computer Simulation'? Risk eliminated.  Safety concerns addressed.  Oh, except for tripping over computer leads and repetitive finger strain from using the computers! G Williams. Horrabridge.
