May I take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to the people of Okehampton who quickly came to help me when I fell in East Street on Monday, September 21.
I fell from the pavement onto the road and a gentleman was so quick to pick me up, thus avoiding a much worse accident .
I also received help from a lady from the Oxfam Shop. She quickly provided a chair and water.
Last, but by no means least, another good Samaritan ran to my daughter's shop in the Red Lion Yard to tell her.
This was all done in a few minutes and ensured that I was safe.
Once again my heartfelt thanks to those guardian angels.
