Chagford 1
Heavitree SU Res 5
THREE goals down at the break, Chagford failed to make an impression in a torrid first half. Heavitree had made eight changes following their own hiding last week and it certainly showed.
The hosts were not helped after 15 minutes as Brown left the pitch injured, Martin Haxton coming on to deputise adequately.
Chris Woof, deputising for the injured Saul Scarry, was to be beaten twice more in the second half although his opposite number had to be sharp as Chagford tried to fight back. Jon Scarry came on for the final 25 minutes, doing well and garnering some sort of reward with a late consolation.

Chagford Res 2
CHAGFORD Reserves came home with a point in their opening league game thanks to goals from Jon Philpott and Rob Lethbridge.
The home side started quicker and were to go a goal up within ten minutes. Chagford played their way back and notched their first goal on 31 minutes. Lethbridge and Ralph combined well to set up Jordan, whose shot was blocked by the home 'keeper but Philpott followed up to fire the ball home from the edge of the area.
Five minutes before half-time, Chagford went ahead. This time Philpott linked with Ralph and the latter's deft pass found Lethbridge who slotted the ball in.
Cheriton Fitzpaine pressed more after the break and Chagford found their forward play snuffed out comfortably. Jaskov was guilty of a bad miss as he rounded the 'keeper only to roll his shot to the wrong side of a post. With ten minutes remaining, the hosts equalised as Elphick's parry fell nicely for a home attacker to tuck the ball into goal.
