SATURDAY July 3 will see West Devon Connect and their partners stage their annual community event in the centre of Okehampton.
More than 24 agencies and organisations will be offering help and advice on a whole range of public services between 10am and 1pm in the town's Charter Hall.
A joint venture between all the organisations, the event is building on last year's successful community day.
Among those taking part will be Okehampton Medical Centre, who will be carrying out free blood pressure checks, and the council's own recycling and waste education team, who will be delivering their Reduce, Reuse, Recycle message, and giving information on new waste and recycling collection arrangements for the borough. There will also be a four-legged representative from the Hearing Dogs Association.
Representatives from the police, fire and rescue service, Age Concern Devon, Devon Care and Repair, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, Okehampton Town Council, Community Transport, Devon County Council's Family Information Service and Adult Education Service, the Lions of Okehampton and West Devon Borough Council will also be there.
Free refreshments will be available, provided by Waitrose.
