SCOUTS in Okehampton will receive a £500 boost from the town council.

A meeting of the policy and resources committee on Monday week decided to award the grant to the 1st Okehampton Scout Group to allow them to continue their valuable work helping young people develop life skills such as first aid, caring and creativity.

The group is open to all young people in the Okehampton area.
