Yeovil and Sherbourne A 6
Okehampton 3
OKEHAMPTON travelled the long distance to Yeovil without four key players.
It did not show as a hectic start saw Okehampton take the lead when Mark Parsons shot was deflected into the goal off a defender's stick.
They then extended their advantage when Greg Williams' hard hit was touch on into the goal by Chris Luxton.
With the play still end to end the home side counter-attacked and managed to pull a goal back and then equalised within minutes to make the score two all at half time.
The hosts started quickly in the second half and took the lead with another well worked move before Parsons found Luxton with a long ball and Luxton rounded the keeper to level the game up once more.
Okehampton then failed to play to the whistle on two occasions and paid the price twice, conceding on both occasions. As the game went on the visitors struggled without their key players and their superior opposition started to realize the away side were fading, they made it six just before the end in what was Okehampton's first defeat in over a year.
This was an extremely quick and good game which Okehampton will not feel too aggrieved to have lost.
Next week Okehampton host ECV Hornets C at 1pm.
Man of the match: Sam Spry.
