DEVON gardeners are being invited to open their front gates to visitors as part of a charity fundraiser.

Hospiscare is inviting people to take part in their annual 'open gardens' season, to raise funds to support patients and their families across Exeter, mid and East Devon.

Now in its seventh year, the scheme raised £20,000 for the organisation in 2010.

Organisers are looking for new gardeners and past participants to take part in their 2012 programme and raise as much money as possible for the charity.
