C G Fry and Son Ltd is holding a drop-in session on Wednesday, November 19 at the Jubilee Hall to show the community its detailed designs for the scheme on land between Lower Street and Westcott Lane. The scheme includes around 90 dwellings, a car park, toilets, a new fire station and employment units.
C G Fry and Son Builders and Blue Cedar Homes have been working on proposals for development on a parcel of land at Bretteville Field and Bellacouch Meadow in Chagford.
The area was first identified as having potential for development in the 2009 Chagford Design Statement, prepared by the Chagford community.
The plan was formally approved by the Dartmoor National Park Authority earlier this year.
A planning application has already been submitted for development of part of the site, with 15 houses for older people at the front of the site facing Lower Street.
The event on November 19 is planned to show members of the community how the rest of the site will be developed.
The drop-in session runs from 2pm to 8pm in the Jubilee Hall. All are welcome to visit, see the plans and ask questions.
