PASSERS-BY will now be able to see a pink-flowering cherry tree in Broadwoodkelly All Saints parish churchyard.
The parochial church council bought the Royal Burgundy tree to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and it was planted last Sunday in a special ceremony by Joan Maunder and the youngest member of the congregation, Molly Tettenborn.
The tree was blessed by Father Peter Norman before parishioners enjoyed a cream tea inside the church.
