NURSES who are interested in working in hospitals or in the community in the Okehampton area are being invited to a recruitment open evening next week.
The event, run by Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, takes place at Exmouth Hospital on Wednesday, June 12.
Band 5 nurses can book a place on one of two information sessions, which start at 5.30pm and 7.30pm and last about 90 minutes.
Candidates can meet clinical, workforce development and HR staff and discuss a variety of issues, including how they can gain new skills and experiences in a different arena of care or plan a return to nursing.
The event will include drop-in sessions for people interested in becoming a healthcare assistant.
People interested in working as a healthcare assistant are invited to attend one of two drop-in sessions, which take place from 6pm to 7pm and from 8pm to 9pm.
Trust specialists will be on hand to discuss what it's like to work in hospitals or in the community, the recruitment process and training and development opportunities, while candidates can visit one of the wards at Exmouth.
Candidates for both the nurse and healthcare assistant roles will be able to book a time for an interview on Tuesday, June 25.
Tina Naldrett, the trust's assistant director of nursing, said: 'The trust currently has a number of exciting opportunities for nurses in a variety of disciplines, and the recruitment open evening will give candidates and ourselves an excellent opportunity to learn more about each other.
'We are also keen to welcome people interested in becoming a healthcare assistant, which can be the ideal launchpad for a career in the NHS.'
