OKEHAMPTON Police Station will host a special event later this month in an effort to recruit more Special Constabulary volunteers.

The 'Meet the Specials' event will be an opportunity for anyone interested in joining the special constabulary to come along and meet serving special constables in an informal setting. They will explain about recruiting and joining the constabulary, and those attending will be able to ask questions of their own.

The event takes place at the station on Monday, November 28 between 7pm and 8pm.

Anyone interested is asked to come to the rear car park of the station where they will be greeted by the team, including neighbour-hood team leaders.
