FOR centuries our Judeo-Christian heritage held this country in  good stead. This was swept away at the stroke of a pen when our humanist, New Labour Government signed us over to the European Human Rights Act.

The one-sidedness of this flawed legislation is now beginning to be seen in the persecution of Christians,  previously only experienced under hard line fundamentalist regimes.

The Human Rights Act has been used to deprive Mr and Mrs Bull, of Chymorvah Guest House, Marazion, of their human right to practice the Christian morality that has been an integral part of their faith for over 25 years.

There are other upright, honest people who have already been made criminals, incurred huge costs and been made to pay compensation. It is appalling that members of a minority are able to hold decent people to ransom.  Some are now harassing the Bulls in a deplorable manner.

Sadly, the loss of their business and their home would now seem inevitable because of this. Let us realise that as the Act currently stands this could happen to any of us.

Unless something is done urgently, such cases are set to escalate. We must inundate Parliament with letters demanding that Mr Cameron fulfils his election pledge and does something about this iniquitous state of affairs.
