A SUCCESSFUL 2013 for Okehampton Lions has ended with the group raising more than £1,200 for charity.

The group raised £360 at a coffee morning on December 14, £280 at their Christmas bingo event, and a Christmas street collection outside Waitrose and Co-op rose the total raised in December to £1,206.

The club has donated over £16,000 during 2013 to various worthy causes.

The Lions expressed thanks to everyone who has supported them in 2013.
