Chagford Parish Council are discussing whether to offer commemorative mugs or coins to Chagford parish children as part of the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations.

The council has also unveiled plans to organise a picnic in the park and cream tea afternoon among other events for the four day weekend in celebration of the jubilee.

The Queen will celebrate 70 years on the throne this year in June. She was crowned queen in 1952 following the death of her father King George VI.
