A GROUP of ladies at Okehampton Running Club have joined forces to raise money for charity.

The ladies — Keri Quertier, Jo Camies, Cathy Carey, Abby Williams, Abby Metherell, Tracey Mills and Karen Vallance — are all running marathons in April.

On April 12, Keri, Jo and Cathy will be running the Brighton Marathon, while on April 26, the two Abbys and Tracey will be in the capital to run the Virgin London Marathon.

For Abby Williams, the run will be her first ever marathon.

Keri Quertier said: 'Lots of people asked us individually if we were being sponsored so to make it easier we have set up a joint fundraising page in aid of two great local charities, Exeter Leukaemia Fund and the FORCE cancer charity which is also based in Exeter.

'Training is in full swing and so far we have raised over £500.'
