MEMBERS of Moretonhampstead Ladies' Fitness League are limbering up for the inaugural Moretonhampstead Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 25.
They will be taking part in the three-mile challenge, and are already in training.
Celia Vale, who runs the group, said: 'If we can do it, so can anyone. All our ladies are over 50, many over 60 and some have perhaps even a little more life experience.
'We have great fun and enjoy the social side of our Friday exercise class, and decided as a group to take up this challenge and support the fundraising for Sport Relief. Why not come and join us?'
The Moretonhampstead Mile will set off from the sports and community centre, passing through the Wray Barton Trail along the way.
Participants can choose to complete one, three or six miles, with all the money raised by runners used to improve the lives of poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and in some of the world's poorest countries.
