TODAY (Thursday) is the last day to submit written applications to Okehampton Town Council to apply to be a town councillor.

Okehampton Town Council have invited people to apply for the vacancy of town councillor for its east ward, and the position will be filled by co-option of the council at a special meeting to be held on May 24.

Anyone who wants to be considered for co-option must be qualified to represent the east ward under the terms of the Local Government Act 1972, and should submit a letter detailing their public working experience and also their interest of Okehampton by the end of today .

Applications should be submitted to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Fore Street, Okehampton, EX20 1AA.
