FOLK and community arts development charity Wren Music, in association with All Saints Parish Church, Okehampton, is holding a series of free workshops for all singers and musicians who want to learn, sing and play carols from the West Country tradition.

The workshops will be held in St James' Chapel in Fore Street, Okehampton, on Sunday November 28 from 6pm to 8pm, and on Sunday December 5 and 12, from 7pm to 9pm.

They will be led by Wren's music director Paul Wilson, who has prepared arrangements of popular favourites and some lesser-known carols and Christmas songs.

All voices and all instruments are welcome as are people all ages and all levels of ability.

The carol workshops are free, thanks to generous support from the Okehampton United Charity, and will lead up to this year's 'Carols at St James' evening, to be held on Tuesday December 14 at 7.45pm in St James Chapel.
