CHILDREN from the CHICKS retreat in Brentor had the chance to be superstars for the day as they created their own music videos courtesy of The Wrigley Company.
Country Holidays for Inner City Kids (CHICKS), teamed up with associates from the Wrigley Company's marketing team, to teach the youngsters how to plan, perform, record and edit their own music videos.
CHICKS is a charity which provides respite breaks for underprivileged children across the UK, who would otherwise not get the opportunity to escape their home lives.
Jenny Paton at CHICKS said: 'We are once again thrilled to have the support of the Wrigley Company. We aim to provide a variety of stimulating and exciting experiences for the children while they are with us and this was certainly a new and exciting activity for them.'
The Wrigley Company in Plymouth adopted CHICKS as its charity in 2005, and have this year sponsored two CHICKS respite breaks.
Alex MacHutchon, senior manager, corporate affairs at Wrigley said: 'We relish these opportunities to get involved and support CHICKS. Over the years we have contributed to all sorts of team building and fundraising events in support of them. With all the buzz around X-Factor at the moment, we hope the kids enjoy the chance to have their own superstar adventure.'
CHICKS camps run from March to December and have so far supported 7,000 children since they began in 1992.
